Morgan Solar Inc. (MSI) was founded in 2007 with the goal of making solar energy significantly less expensive. Our first product to market is the Sun Simba Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV), a turnkey, rapidly deployed ground-mounted solar generation system easily scaled from 10 kilowatts to multi-megawatts. MSI’s leap forward was to develop a concentrating optic that eliminated the focal depth and the related bulk of traditional CPV systems, allowing for a high efficiency system that offers a lower Levelized Cost Of Electricity than any other solar technology on the market. MSI is now ramping up manufacturing for demonstration sites in California and Ontario, and plans to deliver on commercial sales in 2012.
Nicolas Morgan, Co-Founder and VP Business Development
Nicolas Morgan is a co-founder of Morgan Solar, and leads the company’s Business Development and Marketing efforts. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Anthropology and a post-graduate degree in Applied Information Technology. Before joining Morgan Solar full-time at the start of 2008, Nicolas spent two years in Spain as a senior manager for FON Technologies, a Web 2.0 start-up. At FON, Nicolas coordinated the activities of business development teams in Europe, North America and Asia. Prior to this, Nicolas worked at Ernst & Young as a risk management and business process advisor to the Ontario electricity sector.
